Beneficiaries: Thomas leaves everything to his wife, Elizabeth SLATTER 'for her sole use and benefit during her natural life and at her decease to be divided amongst my children';   the children are not named in the main body of the will, but a Codicil (17 May 1848) mentions that Thomas's son Edmund SLATTER is indebted to another son, William SLATTER "in the sum of one hundred pounds", and directs that William should be paid any money still owing to him out of Edmund's share of the inheritance;   Thomas also had two other children living at the time of his death - Thomas and John - who are not referred to in the will;   Thomas' wife Elizabeth died in 1854, but Thomas made no amendment to his will following her death.
